Kim Blair here one of your co-coordinators for communications. At St.Mathew's church in Abbotsford we are having our next BCYAYM Council meeting. At our meeting we will be dicussing everything from the Young Sojourners weekend coming up to our Centennial next year and our annual Fall Conference! :D We'd love to have you join us. Please hang out, eat snacks, and make YOUR thoughts matter for the best Anglican youth event this side of the Rockies. We would love any locals to come on in and stop by.

BCYAYM annual Fall Conference took place this past Thanksgiving Weekend at St Saviour’s Penticton. There were over 90 people who attended and took part over the weekend. of Fr. Bill Cliffs theme sessions on “The Bible Says… WHAT!?” Cameron Gutjahr, a member of the council, shares his thoughts on the weekend.
Wow, conference 2011 is over. As we return to our lives back in the “real world”; to school, work, our hometowns, let us not forget that we are no longer the same as we were before.

With Thanksgiving only a week away, I know my mind is already occupied with the happy thoughts of what another BCYAYM weekend will mean; Great fun, spiritual growth, and exhaustion. I can tell that we’ll all walk away from next weekend tired, and if that turns out true, it’ll be thanks to some awesome planning.

Dr. Christopher Lind is an Anglican theologian and ethicist. He is currently the Executive Director of Sorrento Retreat and Conference Centre. This is what he has to say about LEAP, a two week leadership program for youth aged 15 and 16 that occurs at Sorrento Centre.
Katie Lukow is a member of the BCYAYM executive council. This summer she is working at Sorrento Centre, an Anglican Retreat and Conference Centre on the Shuswap lake.
This month, a dozen Anglican youth workers from British Columbia joined over a hundred others at Common Ground; a conference for Anglican, Lutheran, United and Presbyterian youth workers in London, Ontario. One of the members of the BC delegation was Phil Colvin, Youth Coordinator for the Diocese of New Westminster. Here he tells the BCYAYM blog a little about what happened!
